If you are coming by air, Logan Airport (Boston) and T.F. Green Airport (Providence, RI) are each less than two hours from the Orleans/Brewster/Chatham areas of Cape Cod. Rental cars are available at each airport as well.

Directions to Skaket Beach and the Captain Linnell House

From Orleans
- Get on West Road. Follow West Road 0.7 miles to where the road forks.
- Take the left fork to the stop sign (small signs for Skaket Beach and Captain Linnell House are on your right).
- Go 0.4 miles to Captain Linnell House and another 0.2 miles to Skaket Beach. Parking after 4:00pm should be free.
From Chatham (South)
Skaket Beach and the Captain Linnell House are 11 miles from the East end of Main Street.
- Take Main Street east to a stop sign at end. Set your odometer.
- Take a left onto Shore Road. Shore Road becomes Route 28, a very windy but scenic road. (At .5 miles you will pass Chatham Bars Inn on your left. At 3.5 miles you will pass Pleasant Bay on your right. At about 5.2 miles you'll see the sign on the left for entering Orleans.)
- At 6.2 miles will be a junction with Route 39. Bear right and stay on Route 28.
- At 9 miles, traffic light, take a left onto Eldredge Parkway. At the next light (intersection with Rte. 6A), Eldredge Parkway becomes West Road — keep going straight.
- At 10.4 miles, the road forks. Take the left fork to the stop sign (small signs for Skaket Beach and Captain Linnell House are on your right). Go 0.4 miles to Captain Linnell House and another 0.2 miles to Skaket Beach. Parking after 4:00pm should be free.
From Brewster (West)
Skaket Beach and the Captain Linnell House are approximately 6.5 miles from the intersection of Routes 6A and 124 in Brewster.
- Take 6A east towards Orleans.
- Take a left at the second traffic light in Orleans onto West Road (a Hearth and Kettle restaurant will be on your left).
- Follow West Road 0.7 miles to where the road forks. Take the left fork to the stop sign (small signs for Skaket Beach and Captain Linnell House are on your right). Go 0.4 miles to Captain Linnell House and another 0.2 miles to Skaket Beach. Parking after 4:00pm should be free.
